Thanks for a great block party

Thanks to everyone on the Jefferson Avenue Brownstone Association for putting on an excellent all-day party today. (Sounds like it's still going on.)

The weather was a little bit chilly for August, but once the basketball hoop was up, the slide inflated, the pool filled and the DJ plugged, the fun began.

Here are some photos of the day:Once folks got used to the chilly water, the slide was a main attraction.

Some of the old-timers mixed it up with the younger folks at the hoop.

The pool was just as much a source of relaxation as it was fear of getting a splash.

The DJ started up and got everyone dancing.

There were dance contests for the younger and older kids.

The balloon toss was just one of many games going on with prizes.
