Next Block Association Meeting Nov. 10

The Jefferson Avenue Brownstone Association has schedule a meeting for Saturday, November 10, 2007 at 2:00 pm. The meeting will be held at the Office of Children & Family Services, located at 272 Jefferson Avenue, corner of Marcy Avenue.

Block-wide Stoop Sale Oct 20-21

Saturday and Sunday, the Jefferson Ave. Brownstone Association will be having a block-wide stoop sale on Jefferson Ave. at 321-A and 323 Jefferson Ave. between Marcy and Tompkins Avenues.

The sale is a fundraiser for the block association. Saturday and Sunday from, 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.

There will also be pumpkin carving for kids of all ages from the block.

Next Block Association meeting 10/13

The meeting will be at 1:00 p.m. at the school building at the Marcy end of the block.

Remember Dues are $10 ($5 for seniors)

Thanks for a great block party

Thanks to everyone on the Jefferson Avenue Brownstone Association for putting on an excellent all-day party today. (Sounds like it's still going on.)

The weather was a little bit chilly for August, but once the basketball hoop was up, the slide inflated, the pool filled and the DJ plugged, the fun began.

Here are some photos of the day:Once folks got used to the chilly water, the slide was a main attraction.

Some of the old-timers mixed it up with the younger folks at the hoop.

The pool was just as much a source of relaxation as it was fear of getting a splash.

The DJ started up and got everyone dancing.

There were dance contests for the younger and older kids.

The balloon toss was just one of many games going on with prizes.

Block Clean-up Saturday Aug. 10

Block Party Scheduled for Aug. 18th

From 8 am to 8 pm Jefferson Ave. between Marcy and Tompkins will be closed for a day of fun, relaxation, music and food.
